18 is an iconic year. It’s a pivotal time where we feel we’ve graduated from salon adolescence and step into our legacy as a key player in the hair industry. What better way to celebrate this momentous occasion, than with a dance party that honors the iconic “mod” look, made famous by legendary Vidal Sassoon a la Twiggy, Peggy Moffitt and Jean Shrimpton.
As the British Invasion took over music, fashion and TV, the mod scene was a response to the “greaser” culture of the late 1950’s. Sassoon’s precise, asymmetrical, bobbed haircuts were avant-garde and screamed fashion, causing a pivotal moment in pop culture history. Here at Avalon Salon Spa, we aim to be just as influential as this movement. Creating unforgettable looks that push the envelope and inspire artistic expression.
